SYNOPSYS HIGHLIGHTS AT FTF:
-- Synopsys Pedestal #1310 -- Complete virtual platform for the Freescale
i.MX31 Application Development System
The VPMX31 Virtual Platform modeling the Freescale i.MX31 and the
i.MX31L multimedia applications processor and i.MX31 Applications
Development System improves software development productivity by
providing access to a fast, full-function software emulation of your
embedded device. For more information on the complete virtual platform
solution the i.MX31 Applications Development System, please visit
-- Synopsys Pedestal #1311 -- DesignWare System-Level Library and
Synopsys' DesignWare® System-Level Library provides product
development teams a broad portfolio of tool-independent
transaction-level models (TLMs) for the creation of virtual platforms.
Virtual platforms are fully functional software models of complete
embedded systems developed, verified and delivered using Synopsys'
Innovator, enabling pre-silicon software development and
software-driven system validation. The ability to parallelize the
hardware and software development effort through virtual platforms
significantly reduces the product design cycle and speeds time to
market. For more information please visit:

Get to Market Early with Virtual Platforms for Pre-Silicon Software
Today, the development effort for software running on chip designs at
90 nm and beyond has already surpassed that of hardware development.
This session introduces the advantages of using interoperable,
transaction-level models (TLMs) based on OSCI's new TLM 2.0 standard
to assemble virtual platforms. These SystemC-based TLMs are deployed
early in the design cycle for software development, debug and system
platform deployment. Using the actual example of the Freescale i.MX
family for mobile communications this session details actual virtual
platform use cases for pre-silicon software development and system
validation. Synopsys' Innovator and DesignWare System-Level Library
for the i.MX product family will be demonstrated.
