(SANYO) has signed an expanded business agreement to establish Synopsys as its leading EDA supplier across the entire implementation and verification design flow. A key factor in the decision were the productivity gains SANYO achieved by deploying the Synopsys Galaxy™ design and Discovery™ verification platforms. This collaborative partnership includes increased usage of tools throughout Synopsys' product portfolio, including Design Compiler® synthesis, Primetime timing analysis, and IC Compiler place and route technology on the Galaxy design platform, and the VCS® and NanoSim® simulators for analog and digital verification on the Synopsys Discovery verification platform.
